So firstly thanks for such a lovely welcome, possibly the best we have ever had – and we have had some nice ones before! They are very keen on us coming back next year, so maybe we will.
So I think the Churches involved were Berry Lane Methodist, Good Shepherd, Chiltern Church Runners, Grace Church Dulwich, Selsdon Baptist Church, Holy Trinity Wallington, Croydon Jubilee Church, Refresh Church, St Patrick’s Tigers, Croydon Vineyard Church, Epsom Vineyard Church (thanks for coming to join us at short notice), The Salvation Army and Springfield Church.
So 13 churches in all with 64 runners between them – a very nice turn out.
First 3 men for the Churches (at time of writing); Clive Wickham (Berry Lane Methodist Church), Jason Hudson (Good Shepherd), and Wilfred Yung (Chiltern Church Runners).
First 3 women; Abby Bron (Croydon Jubilee Church), Mary Burke (Grace Church Dulwich), & Kirsty Cotton (St Patrick’s Tigers),
First 3 male juniors; Timothy Humpreys – with a new 5k personal best – (Chiltern Church Runners), Lucas Brims (Croydon Vineyard),and Matthew Gray (Chiltern Church Runners).
First 3 junior females; Eugenie Kim (Chiltern Church Runners), and Lena Arthur (Chiltern Church Runners) NB no eligible 3rd.
A couple of folk came up to me afterwards to ask about how their Churches could join in – I can be reached via the contact form on www.churchrunner.co.uk so please do get in touch.
Points (just for fun really of course)
| Chiltern Church Runners | 34 |
