Happy New Year to you all!
Need some motivation to keep those new year’s training resolutions going? Well, dates have been set for this year’s Church Runner events.
Also, an exciting new “Pray as you Go” initiative (courtesy of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Carshalton Beeches) will also be kicking off at the end of March. This poster has the details…
Church Runner Events Diary 2015
Thank you all so much for coming, 40 ran for Chiltern, 18 for Good Shepherd, 2 for Vineyard Sutton, 8 for Holy Trinity Church Wallington, 5 for Emmanuel, 5 for St Patrick’s Tigers, and 8 for Selsdon Baptist – 92 runners in total! Oh, and two dogs.
The Good Shepherd Runners cordially invite you to Nonsuch in November.
Well this was the first ever national inter church ‘mob match’, so if you took part, that’s a little bit of history you were making!
In total there were 162 runners, across 27 parkruns running for 15 Christian running groups/churches – a massive turn out, nearly 50% bigger again than our biggest ever physical mob match. People certainly got into it and runners from Holy Trinity Wallington have already been asking me about the November mob match at Nonsuch parkrun.
Obviously none of this would be possible without parkrun – so a big thank you to them.
The idea of the virtual mob match is that on September 20th as many people as possible get to parkrun for a church or church running club/group – but at any parkrun they want. Get out of church and go and run with a whole new community.
A report by Tim Gray (Chiltern Church Runners)
